Directions From San Francisco Airport (SFO)
BART is the best way to get to the East Bay as taxis are expensive (approx. $90-100) and often get snarled in SF/ Bay Bridge traffic between 6am and 9pm.
BART Directions: Take the Yellow line (Pittsburg/ Bay Point bound) to the 19th Street/ Oakland stop where you will transfer to the Orange line (Richmond bound), riding to the Downtown Berkeley station – OR – Take the Yellow line (Pittsburg/ Bay Point bound) to the San Bruno stop where you will transfer to the Red line (Richmond bound) riding to the Downtown Berkeley station.
SuperShuttle is also another option, with pickup at SFO.
Directions From Oakland Airport (OAK)
BART is again the best way to go (with cabs costing $40-50)
BART Directions: Take the Airport Train to the BART Coliseum Station.
Take the Orange line (Richmond bound) to the Downtown Berkeley station.
Once at the Downtown Berkeley stop, you will be a two-block walk from Hotel Shattuck and a five-minute cab ride/ 20-minute walk from Hotel Durant.
