Notes: Mudhoney debut three new songs - 'Hey Neanderfuck,' 'Nerve Attack,' and 'Paranoid Core.' They're playing the Georgetown Carnival - one of Seattle's neighborhood Summer festivals (like the Capitol Hill Block Party, West Seattle Summerfest, and the Ballard Seafood Fest, which Mudhoney have all played). The venue - a stage at Airport Way S and S Homer St - is the same as where they played for the 7/13/13 Sub Pop Silver Jubilee, though this time the stage is facing west and last time it was facing east. A couple notable drummers are in attendance - Barrett Martin (Screaming Trees, et al.) and Chad Channing (Nirvana, et al.) - as well as a ton of kids in Misfits shirts. Go figure, the kids like the Misfits. And there was a high school prom being held a block away, so it was a good mix of kids in Misfits shirts and kids in formal wear. They come back for the encore and Mark says that they've been working on new material, so only rehearsed enough for a 45-minute set, and this is everything they can play. Then, two songs later, he calls an audible for them to do 'Fix Me,' so they were able to do at least one more than they figured. They close with Mark thanking both those who have seen Mudhoney for decades and those who saw them for the the first time this evening, and signs off with, "I hope that you all have a wonderful night ... and by 'hope' I mean 'command.'"
