"On this next island, we get to see more...penguins," we began to say to one another. Gentoo, Adelie, Chinstrap penguins, we had seen many times over. Somehow, though, as my brother put it, "I don't get tired seeing more penguins. Each island always manages to be different." See the difference here.

The penguins often hang out in groups by the water, occasionally a bolder bird peering in but stepping back. Once a penguin takes a dive, however, a whole herd follows. Penguins can't fly, but sometimes they like to pose as if they could.

"Whoa there! You going in?" "Not I. You?" "Naw, looks too cold."
Perhaps my favorite island, full of natural bastions of beauty. The island bears the title, "Brown's Bluff," with rock fortresses skyrocketing until one's neck strains to see the bluff's tops. Penguins flee the perpetrator in the pristine territory.
Like one of those false-colored b/w images, but in true color. "Whoa, Ice Elephant!" the frightened penguin cries.
I can fly!—or hop. To my dismay, after crawling to shore, I found that someone—ten thousand tourists per year, actually—had already reached the continent.

Pen pals? Penguin pals.
