As I noted to many people, I almost didn't do CalSO. About a week before my first group interview back in October 2000, I went to another group interview.... an interview for MTV's Real World. I guess I wasn't "real" enough because as things turned out, I was rejected from the show and thus had to figure out something else to do for the summer.

Flash forward almost two years later and it's hard to believe that yet another year of CalSO is over. With the role of a returning counselor, I definitely saw things in a different light. Yet, despite the new challenges (that's right... CNR baby!), the highs and lows of the programs, and all of the other little things that comes along with the role, I really had the time of my life. As this past summer marks perhaps the close of one chapter of my Cal career, I'd like to thank just the entire staff, from pro staff, coords, counselors, roadies, clerks, presenters... and yes, CNR, for just making CalSO such a great learning experience for me and one that I will look back with fond memories.
