Arrow Monty...

2004/05/28

...one of the members of our band and an expert at music composition and arrangement, went to Arizona on a one-man vacation and brought me back a souvenir.
It's a crystal pendant.
It looks like a very good and fortuitous pendant, so I'm taking very good care of it. I like it very much so I'm in the middle of crafting some things that seem similar to it. When I'm done with them, I'll upload photos of them!
I received one more present from Monty.
It's a Native American (Indian) flute. It gives off quite a soothing, healing sound. I'm in the process of learning how to play it!!! I'll try using it in my next recording!!

Arrow APPLE SEED

2004/05/24

Today I went to the theaters to watch 'APPLE SEED'.
It was amazing...! I wonder if that can still be called animation; it was so amazing... There were some places were I thought it had to be real photography shots... At first, I couldn't get used to the movements in the animation (since this film moved differently from normal animated films), but it slowly began to feel more natural to me, and I felt like I was watching a Hollywood movie. When I was a child watching 'Cutey Honey' on TV, I seriously thought, 'I want to be a cyborg and strong and pretty and an ally of justice just like that!' I grew up with that feeling, and just a little while ago, when I got hooked on 'Dark Angel', I thought again, 'I want to be strong and beautiful, even if it were through genetic engineering!' So, today I got a bit jealous, thinking, 'They're flesh-and-blood people like me... I'd like to be that beautiful and pretty and...' as I went home from the theaters. I didn't like the fighting, though...
I think I'll watch it again when the DVD comes out.

Arrow En-chan's Live Concert!

2004/05/23

JAM's Endou Masaaki-kun had a concert today!!
It was held at O-west, and Monty and I went together to watch it. And, as is always the case, Danny was also of course(?) there. (This time, Kageyama-san came in the middle of the concert.)
In any case, this is a shot of Danny & Monty.

The live was, well... En-chan's been singing continually for a few days now, since he's on tour. But nevertheless, he still sang with such a strong voice and good musical tone! I'm always so impressed with how well En-chan can hold a melody.
I've got to work hard at it every day, too.
There were so many people there...
To En-chan, the band, the audience, and the staff: Good job!

Arrow Aura Soma, Etc.

2004/05/22

I am a natural sucker for spiritualistic things. Even the books I enjoy reading are of that genre... Lately, I believe that these types of books have become more and more common as people begin to understand the world more than they did in the past.
Maybe even among you, there are quite a few people who may be troubled over something, or who may feel like there's this huge hole opened up inside them...
Now, I've been garnering an interest in aromatherapy and healing and stuff like that, and I've been trying them out myself. So for the first time I tried this thing called Aura Soma (or had it done to me); an Aura Soma Reading.
The bottle in this photo isn't the one I chose, but in any case, there are currently 104 kinds of these bottles, each representing something different. It seems that Aikawa Nanase-san has credentials as an Aura Soma teacher... Hm. Maybe I should study it more, too...

Arrow Strong Winds... (@@)

2004/05/17

At present time, 11 o'clock, I'm looking out at a clear blue sky, but since my residence is near the top of my apartment complex, I am especially aware of the amazingly strong wind gusts that are blowing right now. I have a chair sitting on my balcony, and it looks like it's about to blow away...
This has also been uploaded on the main page, but this July I'm going to Brazil. I already know which songs I'll be singing there, so I should start memorizing the lyrics for them (there are a lot of songs, so I probably won't have them down in time unless I start now). I'm planning to sing some of my own songs and some songs by other artists.
This is my first performance abroad, so I definitely can't go without my "Shoujo Kakumei Utena: Rondo-revolution", I'm thinking.

Arrow Miyabi and So Forth...

2004/05/13

In lieu of the 11th anniversary since my debut, a terrific little book(? It seems like it'll feature a lot of different material...) called "Miyabi" will be released. This may very well be the "Comprehensive Resource". Thanks to all of the people around me, it's really turned out to be something quite wonderful. I was able to write my beloved "Ottokomae de Ikou", and through the generous hearts of various people I was given so much support in dealing with my issues as a grown-up. (^-^)
I might even pre-order a copy of it for myself.
Kind of unexpectedly, I've always been so wrapped up in life and work that there are some things about myself that I don't remember doing. With that and with the various topics I discuss in my interviews and so on, it's sort of interesting to be able to look back on my old ways of thinking.
I hope you all will enjoy it.
Ah... and of course, look for the upcoming release of a new song (and maybe a DVD of March's live concert)...

Arrow Pretty Much Mid-May Already

2004/05/12

It's the middle of May already.
Though it seems like I only just finished the concert tour......
In the span of a year, it feels like there are always a few months that are like this. Sometimes, things just seem to happen in the blink of an eye one after another.
I'm taking it as a present from God and building up my energy.
...or so I say, but in truth, I just want to meet all of you fans as soon as possible. (*^^*)

Arrow So Short......... (--)

2004/05/04

I cut my hair yesterday.
It resembles the tomboyish short hair from the days of "Ma-king".
Well, I guess it'll grow out some in a short while. So then, the usual post-Golden Week traffic spectacle is in full force, but I'm at home right now writing songs. For JAM, all of us members have been given the challenge to try writing our own lyrics and music (we'll choose the best songs together, so there's the possibility of rejection), so I'm writing music for that, and later for my own music.
Recently, I bought this new software program for composing music, so I have to study the whole thing from the very basics. (T_T) Since it's completely different from the one I used to use before... In any case, isn't it true that, as you become older, you lose much of your resolution to learn something new? In the teen years and early 20's you still have a certain hunger, a well-meaning desire for something. And that's why you're able to pursue all of your interests so greedily. But right now, I feel like I'm struggling just to make things come together... No no, I'm gonna do my best!

Arrow Pottery!

2004/05/01

I did a lot of traveling today, as I usually do during Golden Week.
I went in the general direction of Shizuoka, but the traffic was incredible! "Um.... Maybe local streets are faster?" I overanalyzed, so I passed up the entrance to the freeway. But then! The local streets were also snarled with traffic, and in the end I crossed over Takaoyama and reached my destination in no less than 7 hours.... Now I regret not taking the highway, since it probably would've been faster.
But, well, I did get to see some pretty scenery along the way, and I got to try pottery for the first time. In any case, it's supposed to be an aroma pot. I think it'll be sent to me in 2 months. I'll upload more pictures then!
