I tried to register 4 times, but each time I got an error message that I had typed in the wrong code to verify the registration. I think I typed the code in exactly as it appeared on the screen every time. Can anybody think of what I might be doing wrong, or is there some kind of bug in the program?

There's new people registering every day, so it should work. Maybe it was a temporary server screwup, in which case you could try again later. Or it might be a browser problem (but that's not likely either).
Did you have to type the same code each time? Because that might be a problem if you accidentally mistyped the first time, and then the browser used the cached image instead of a fresh one from the server.
