The force to set the world on fire

My math professor gave me a math riddle for extra credit and well I am not doing well in his class! Please help me solve this riddle!
"Though smaal I am, yet when entire
I have the force to set the world on fire
Take off a letter and 'tis clear
my paunch will hold a herd of deer
dismiss another letter and you'll fund
i once contained all man kind"
It is a 3 step riddle and you take out 2 letters to get the final answer! I need it before tomorow!

It's pretty clear that your unfimiliar with the ettiquite in this forum. We (and by we I mean the people who are actually good at this sort of thing) prefer to use riddles to enter into long drawn out philisophical discussions that get to the very root of human nature, rather than just questions and answers. 
Despite the fact that you've ignored the two cardinal rules of wu-posting(Descriptive thread titles, posting in appropriate forums), I think this is a pretty neat riddle, and I think I have some ideas. I'd prefer to wait a bit though, because they're only ideas at this point.

Hi punkeymunkey. This should be in the "What Am I" forum since it's a What am I sort of riddle. I will move it there some time tomorrow. Here are some hints:
1. The riddle has nothing to do with math

Well Mr. Wu, you are right on track. And, the same inspiration led me to the answer. But do to the urgency of the inquiry, perhaps another clue is warranted. Does the young apprentice know that he needs to click on blank places to find hidden text? We don't want him to bark up the wrong tree. That's a funny saying, because trees are covered with bark.

it has a picture of a donkey and the word E crossed out then next symbol is a pointing finger with the letters finger crossed off and the a notepad and pen resting on the pad with the letters tter crossed out. whats the riddle!!!

She was describing a rebus she wanted help solving. It has nothing to do with the subject of this thread.
I too found her description too confusing to follow - particularly about the "letters finger".

JiNbOtAk, if you are still looking for that hint, the Bible story is quite well known. Indeed if you know anything about western culture (or Middle Eastern culture), then you should know this story, as it is one of the basic stories that define these cultures. Saying much more about it would move beyond hint to straight-out giving away of the answer, which would leave me all wet. 
Perhaps you should raid the other lost parts of the riddle for more clues.
