Blind Fisherman suicide

Perhaps he ate somebody when stuck on an island and thought it was a seagull but when he came to the bar and tasted a real seagull he know he actually ate someone and shot himself out of guilt or something? I don't know? What is it?!

perhaps he ate someone when stuck on an island when he thought it was a seagull and when he ate a real seagull he realizes he actually ate a person and killed himself out of guilt and distugst or something? i dont know thats the best i could come up with after a week of being stuck on this damn thing
