It is 19th century. Tom is in his hotel room. He survives thanks to a few old ladies who were crossing the street. What happened? Cool

haha.. i was alluding to this... Some old ladies in SF were finding it hard to cross a road. Tom from his hotel room balcony sees this and comes down to the street to help the ladies cross the street. At that time the terrible earthquake happens. The hotel completely collapses. Since Tom was outside he is saved.

Maybe the street was going to attack Tom, but the old women crossed the street's plans, and so Tom survived..

A gang of robbers in a horse carriage plan to rob the hotel that Tom is living in. Given their track record, Tom would most probably be shot, as they don't like leaving witnesses. However, just as they drew near the hotel, some old ladies suddenly decided to cross the road, causing the horses to jump in fright, swerving and causing to carriage to be swept upside down, killing the robbers instantly.

There was an extraordinary severe hurricane in modern human history in the 19th century where Tom's hotel was located.  As the hurricane was approaching Tom's hotel, a few old ladies were crossing the street hand in hand, singing and dancing.  The hurricane was so delighted seeing what was happening that it decided to stop moving forward and watch the ladies.  Tom could thus have time to leave and survived... ok Wink no  Huh

Tom is hungry.  He hasn't eaten for a few days and thinks: "If I don't eat, I die".  But the fridge is empty.  While wondering what he could possibly eat he opens the window and sees a few old ladies crossing the street.  He invites them for dinner.

Is it related to a very precise event?

Or is it related to life in general in the XIX century?

Is the specific event limited to a North American city or town or is it more specific to a general geographic region (e.g. East coast, mid west, west coast, entire US, etc)
