Graduate school info session, and talk about Lasers, THIS MONDAY

Hey everyone!
We hope the break gave you a bit of a spring in your step (heh heh heh), and we have some exciting news for an event next week (with food)!
AS&T Discussion: Monday April 8th, 5 to 7 PMApplied Science and Technology is a graduate division here at Cal, and we’ve invited some current Graduate students to talk about their experiences in the program and as a graduate student overall. AS&T has many similarities to Engineering Physics, and might be a good starting point for investigating graduate programs that could interest you! This is also a great networking opportunity to connect with graduate students, so make sure to stop by for this discussion!  Location TBA, food will be provided – RSVP here (https://forms.gle/SZMVx564QKducf3E6).
Lasers and Lightbulbs talk, by Professor Attwood, also on Monday.  A two-for-one deal! After the discussion with AS&T students, our own faculty advisor Professor David Attwood will give his much-requested talk, “Lasers and Lightbulbs.” This talk will answer the question of how lasers work, guided by one of the most influential people in the field. You won’t want to miss it!
