Meeting this Monday, 4/22: Course Advice and Officer Elections!

Howdy y’all!
We have some important announcements about the rootn’est tootn’est honor society at Cal.
Course Selection Discussion and Officer Elections, Monday 4/22 from 6 to 7 PM in LeConte 324, WITH FOODWith Phase 1 deadlines approaching for next semester, join us on Monday for an open discussion about which courses to take in the fall.  Ask for advice from your peers, sign up for classes with your #EngineeringPhysicsSquad, and talk through which professors are worth avoiding.  At this meeting we will also hold elections for next year’s officer board!  If you are interested in being more involved with the honor society, please fill out this google form (https://forms.gle/cdHxrTdgjt6UMnj36).  We will order pizza, so come through and grab a slice!

Graduate school info session, and talk about Lasers, THIS MONDAY

We hope the break gave you a bit of a spring in your step (heh heh heh), and we have some exciting news for an event next week (with food)!
AS&T Discussion: Monday April 8th, 5 to 7 PMApplied Science and Technology is a graduate division here at Cal, and we’ve invited some current Graduate students to talk about their experiences in the program and as a graduate student overall. AS&T has many similarities to Engineering Physics, and might be a good starting point for investigating graduate programs that could interest you! Lasers and Lightbulbs talk, by Professor Attwood, also on Monday.  A two-for-one deal!After the discussion with AS&T students, our own faculty advisor Professor David Attwood will give his much-requested talk, “Lasers and Lightbulbs.” This talk will answer the question of how lasers work, guided by one of the most influential people in the field. You won’t want to miss it!

Resume workshop: Thanks to everyone who came to our resume workshop last week.  It was great talking with you and answering some of your questions about writing a good resume.  If you have any lingering questions, feel free to send us an email.

First meeting of Epsilon Pi, Feb 8, 5 to 6 PM, Soda 373

We’re back!  
We hope your winter break was rejuvenating, and that you were able to start the semester off on the right foot.  With that in mind, we’re going to be holding our first meeting for the semester this Friday, February 8th, from 5 to 6 PM, in Soda 373.  At this meeting we will be discussing projects for this semester, and professional development opportunities.  Oh, and by the way, there will be PIZZA.  Come by, grab a slice, and talk with some fellow Engineering Physicists.
