November 12 (this coming Tuesday) Ken Rose is speaking to our class to present his views on Qi and Chinese Medicine. If you usually attend the Tuesday class you may want to try to make the Tuesday class as well.

Writing Assignment:
0)  WRITE YOUR SID ON YOUR PAPER.   Check which assignments we haven't received from you.  Remember, no assignments will be accepted after 12/7.  You need a Y, E, or X for EVERY assignment in order to pass!

1) (at least 100 words)  (Sivin) When would a local or adjacent locus (acupoint) be chosen?  How about a distal one?  A "special" one?  An experiential one?
(Kendall)  How does acupuncture work?

2) (at least  200 words) Find a partner and check the pulses and record your findings.  Perform a flow of your choice on your partner partner (Notes are up).  Check your partner's pulses again afterwards and note any changes.  Write about your experience and your partner's experience.
