About

Hi! I’m Sam, a recent graduate of Applied Mathematics at UC Berkeley.

I originally wanted to start a blog as a way to track some of the important ideas I was learning in my math classes, as sort of a public repository of my notes. I’ve yet to post any mathematical content, but I have a few drafts in the works. Over the past year, my interests have begun to branch out beyond mathematics, and I find myself wanting to share some of the things I’ve been learning. My hope for this blog is that it becomes a place for me to post polished summaries of the things I’ve been learning or ideas I’ve been thinking about.

There is a second motivation for this blog. As a recent university graduate, exploring professional opportunities has become an important part of my life. Aside from being a public repository of my notes, I’d like this blog to serve as a public portfolio of some of my work, with the hope that it will give hiring managers an idea of who I am and what my professional interests are. In the spirit of professional development, here are links to my GitHub and LinkedIn profiles.

I don’t know how often I’ll post or what this blog will look like in the future, but I’m excited to find out!
