Ricky Bottalico
Relief Pitcher Ricky Bottalico was the Phillies lone representative at the 1996 All-Star Game. The game was held on July 9, 1996 in Philadelphia.

The National League won, with the MVP honors going to Dodgers Catcher and Philadelphia Native Mike Piazza. The game was also notable as it was Ozzie Smith's last All-Star game and for Cal Ripken breaking his nose in the pregame photos.

Piazza is presented the All Star MVP Trophy after the game	Ozzie Smith tips his hat to the crowd in his last All Star Game
