Where am I? - in Brazil

Following the example in Japan and the first six legs of our journey in Great Britain,  Hungary,  Egypt, India,  Malaysia and Australia, now I moved on to Brazil.
 
First postcard:
The city was already 137 years old, when finally it was established.
 
Second postcard:
I heard a songbird.
 
Third postcard:
To be precise it should be Manual.
 
Fourth postcard:
First met Vaguinho back in 1974.
 
So, let's meet.
 
P.S. To make it more difficult for the enemy agents (and those don't have the solution) and to have a bit more fun, let's still use the absolute GPS positions instead of a descriptive solution.

Is there any desert in Brazil? Or why are you home even there?

I think there's a bit of desert in the north east area.  
15°46'S 47°55'W is as close as I can find without Google Earth.
