Our Mission
CaHPSA’s mission is to cultivate leadership and advocacy skills among health professional students to effect change in the health care system. Through grassroots efforts, education, and outreach, we advocate for comprehensive, high-quality, accessible, guaranteed, and affordable health care for all Californians.
Our Goals
- Help people obtain health coverage now, while working towards a single-payer health care system in California and the nation.
- Support efforts to improve quality of and access to health care in California.
- Provide opportunities for students to develop health advocacy and communication skills.
- Educate and train future health and medical professionals to become effective health advocates.
- Engender a sense of social responsibility among health professional students.
