CHE has allowed me to find comunidad here at Cal! Balancing being a pre-health, Latinx, and first-gen student has certainly been a struggle, but despite my moments of Imposter Syndrome, CHE has provided me with the inspiration to fight through. Being surrounded by people that show genuine support and by motivational speakers that mirror many of our own experiences and struggles here at Cal are part of what makes CHE such a great organization <3
Being Co-Chair has allowed me to grow as a leader! My co and I oversee and support the CHE board officer team, making executive decisions and working through obstacles together. My position has also allowed me to learn about the value in networking as we interact with guest speakers from various healthcare professions at our general member meetings and events!
What I do with my co - officer: my co and I are responsible for overseeing all other board positions, planning and facilitating retreats, communicating with different health professionals and facilitating weekly general meetings where we have these professionals come share about their careers and experiences, facilitate weekly business meetings, and support any other chair when they need it.
