Clio’s Scroll, the Berkeley Undergraduate History Journal, is published twice yearly by students of the Department of History at the University of California, Berkeley. Founded in 1981, Clio’s Scroll has published over thirty issues. The journal aims to provide undergraduates with the opportunity to publish outstanding historical work.

Clio’s Scroll is produced with the financial support from the Townsend Center for the Humanities, the Associated Students of the University of California (ASUC), and Berkeley’s Department of History. The views expressed in the articles are solely those of the authors and do not necessarily represent those of the journal, the editors, the university, or the sponsors.

The journal publishes articles by undergraduates and recent graduates of any university, so long as the submissions are historical in nature. Clio’s Scroll is led by two co-editors-in-chief, a managing editor, and a staff of qualified associate editors. Membership in Clio’s Scroll is limited to undergraduates at the University of California, Berkeley. The journal is committed to a diverse and inclusive editorial board.
