The Editorial Board looks for relevant experience that contributes to editorial ability and communication skills. Applicants must submit the following materials to have their application considered.
- A list of all lower- and upper-division history courses taken. Please format accordingly: History #: Course Title (Instructor Last Name), School. E.g., “History 104: The Craft of History (Peterson), UC Berkeley”
- A writing sample between 5 – 15 pages. Your writing sample should showcase your familiarity with the Chicago Manual of Style as well as your ability to analyze and synthesize different source materials.
- A curriculum vitae or resume. If you have any past editing or research experience, please include pertinent information here.
Membership in Clio’s Scroll is limited to undergraduates at the University of California, Berkeley. The journal strongly encourages as many upper-division students from the Department of History and with any areas of specialization to consider applying.
