AMATYC Contest Winners

Club Day

The Evergreen Valley College (EVC) Math Club helps prepare students for the AMATYC Contest , a math contest held each year at community colleges nationwide. The contest consists of two rounds, and the first round of the contest this school year (2025-2026) occurred in November. EVC had the second-highest score among the one hundred eighteen colleges across the country that participated in the first round.

The second round of the contest will take place from 3:00 to 4:30 pm in room MS-217 on March 10. To prepare for the second round, we will hold Math Club meetings from 12:45 to 1:45 pm in room AB-201 (Acacia Building) on the three Fridays right before the exam (February 20, February 27, and March 6). During the meetings, we will finish covering the Fall 2024 contest and start reviewing the Spring 2025 contest .

Below are past AMATYC Contest exams. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, there was no contest held during the 2020-2021 academic school year. Also, the contests held during the '95-'96 academic school year and during the '94-'95 academic school year are not publicly available.
