Tenkôsei: Sayonara anata

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0997183/?ref_=fn_al_tt_2

Watched this movie today. It’s about a high school boy and girl who swapped bodies. It was so funny! but the ending was so sad :'(. The story was engaing and the acting was just perfect. Most of all, I loved the actress and her rendition of Sayonara No Uta

Rockaway Beach, Oregon

Went to Rockaway Beach, Oregon on my motorcycle. I actually had to scramble to get all the winter motorcycle gear, tire repair kit, and insurance for Oregon state (because I’m a daredevil and Washington State doesn’t require insurance, muahaha). I actually was planning the trip to be 6 hours (Google Maps says 4.5 hours), but that Friday night I worked late on some stuff (can’t remember right now, it was probably something stupid). Anyways, I decided that it was unsafe to ride tired, so since I went to sleep at 12:30am, I woke up at 6:30am, and left at 7:30am.

Let me tell you something, it was a cold, wet, foggy morning when I left Seattle, and I was afraid that I got myself into too much trouble, especially when I didn’t put on my equipment properly and wind was blowing up my jacket, brrrr. Fortunately, I did bring my ski mask. When I first put it on, I had it on in a weird way so that the mask was pushing my eyes closed. I was only able to ride like that for 10 minutes before I had to readjust it.

When I got to Oregon, it was clearing up to becoming sunny. I took the I-5 to Longview, WA, then took US-30 West to Astoria, and went south on the US-101 there to Rockaway Beach. Once I was on 101, I finally understood why people like riding motorcycles. And also it was finally sunny and not cold. My fingers felt like they were going to fall off :-D.

Finally got to Rockaway Beach at 1pm. The house we’re staying at was pretty nice, it’s right on the beach. Of course, this was Oregon in October, so I wasn’t going into the waters. The people that were there include Andy, Phil, Duy, Vlad, Joyce, Jason, Chau, Angela, Alex, Dong, JJ, Liem, TJ, Margaret, Willy, Karen.

That afternoon, we went to Tillamook Cheese factory and Cannon Beach, which has the Haystack Rock, kind of an impressive-looking rock out in the middle of the waters during high tide. When we got there, it was afternoon already, so it was low tide, and we could walk to the rock.

For dinner, we ate at wayfarer restaurant . I had the halibut. It was good, but the other fish was, decent, too. As usual, I tried to finish everyone’s food, I had some ravioli’s, that other fish from someone’s entree, some large oysters, and that’s not including the appetizer dish of garlic fries (those were so good!) and clam chowder. I liked the ingredients of clam chowder (they had gnoichi!) but not the soup, it was too salty.

At home, we were playing poker, and at one point I was almost out, but somehow came back alive after winning that round. Then I got maybe the 2nd largest stack on the table (hahaha, lucky me!), but then lost it all again (I’m not really a good poker player). Then we played mafia, which is the usual thing, I still suck at being bad. We followed that with Samurai Sword, which is like Bang! We played that until 3am!

The next day, we woke up, ate lots of food (we didn’t eat that much the night before because we ate a lot at the restaurant) and then we played one more game of Samurai Sword (finally won this time! due mostly to being on Andy and Angela’s team) before I went on my way. This time, I rode the 101 all the way up to Montesano before connecting to the 5 at Olympia, and I got to enjoy some more curvy roads before it turned completely dark when I got to the US-101, SR-107 junction near Monteano. The next 2 hours were nighttime riding, but I was like, nighttime is my time. It was pretty smooth back to Seattle. I basically left at 3pm and arrived at 9pm.

Had a dinner with Carlene that night to talk about TAP and NAAAP stuff. That is really a long weekend :-D.
