A NEW LIFE

If you've completed step 3 and are successfully living the Mod Diet, take a moment to congratulate yourself! That's all there is to it. Step 4 isn't actually another step in the process; it's a moment to step back and to see what you've accomplished, and where to go from here.

If you've been on the Mod Diet for a couple months, or even just a month, you might notice improvement already. Skipping dinner four times a week should drop your weight a lot (assuming you were eating normally before you started). The mathematics of stomach capacity should work in your favor. Most people, no matter how hungry they are, cannot eat the volume equivalent of two meals in a single meal. So if you skipped four dinners this week, and absolutely stuffed yourself to the max the other three nights, you would still come out ahead. That is, you would still eat less than if you ate a full meal every day of the week. And most likely, you would not be stuffing yourself silly those three nights; you'll probably be eating normally one or two nights, and have a wonderful fatty dinner the last night.

Skipping dinner will become natural once you've gotten into WoW (or whatever hobby you chose) enough. And for each dinner you skip, that's a good $5-10 you're saving. (If you spend less than $5 a meal every day, you probably don't need to lose weight to begin with.) That's $20-40 a week, enough to cover a fancy steak dinner on Saturday. Or if you decide to stay home and play this weekend, it will cover your month's subscription. The bottom line is, not only is the Mod Diet free (not counting hobby costs), but it will actually save you money.

Like all diet plans, the Mod Diet takes some work and discipline. But the difference is, the work you have to do here is fun. And it requires less discipline the more you get into your chosen hobby. With a little luck, you should see a new you in no time!
