Terminator Salvation (2009)

Terminator Salvation (2009)
Went to watch Terminator Salvation today. I have to say, it was better than I thought it would be. Although it did not really feel like a terminator movie, it was still pretty good. The biggest difference is that in previous terminator movies the terminator was the main character. Of course, John Connor (Bale) was still in this movie and I thought Bale did a good job of portraying him. But in this one, the role of the terminator (Marcus Wright), is kind of subdued because Marcus isn’t really a terminator. Rather, he is a cyborg, except he doesn’t really know it. The twist is that SkyNet sent him, in his unaware state, to lure John Connor and Kyle Reese to the SkyNet HQ in San Francisco, in order to kill John Connor. I thought it was pretty cool that Arnold made an appearance in the movie as the T-800, complete with his 80’s hairstyle from The Terminator. I guess they did some CGI, because Arnold’s like 61 now and can’t possibly fill in. I think they had Roland Kickinger fill in for the T-800 and then paste Arnold’s face and/or body into it. Also, at the end, when Marcus gave Connor his heart, it didn’t really make any sense because what are the odds that two strangers have compatible organs? But I guess there are loopholes here and there in the entire series. One last note, Moon Bloodgood is hot.
